We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Chester Grade School.  CGS is a community school, with approximately 650 students.  At our school, administrators, teachers, and parents work together to attain student success.  The Illinois State Learning Standards are the base of our curriculum.  Our instruction is rigorous and relevant as well as designed to meet the needs of individual students.  We are committed to educating the total child.

We believe that volunteers play an important role in the education of our students; therefore, the school encourages volunteers and mentors to participate in our educational endeavors.
